I 'm trying to fix a Sony CD player. It wouldn't power up properly.

I found that if I place my hand very close to a ribbon connector that is attached to the laser head assembly, it works fine.

There are no breaks or bad connections in any of the connectors.

Somehow just the proximity of my hand is enough to make it work.

Does anyone have similar experiance or suggestions?
