Hi Guys

Are the soldering done on most equipment done manually by human
or by machine.

I looked at the board of a wireless dongle and thought, this cannot be done
by hand

What are the views please ?

No humans do not do this kind of work any more. Humans are way to slow, to moody, and besides they organize in trade unions. Constantly demanding a raise if they are not busy in some sort of strike. So this field has been taken over machines. Go to youtube and search for pick and place machine

many companies still hand solder through hole components/wires,etc... on pcb's. Surface mount stuff is typically done with pick and place then a reflow process to melt the pre-applied solder paste. For through hole components companies typically use a wave solder machine or selective soldering machine for the higher volume but hand soldering is still done for low volume work.
