I need to add an indicator to show when a solar panel is Charging, On the Input so when the panel is above 12 Volts I need a indicator to come on. Showing the panel is charging. After my regulator I have a battery charge indicator so know the condition of the battery.

In zimbabwe the sun is bright all year round, My LED indicators outside the housings are very difficult to see in the sun. Is there any simple way of being able to put something intothe circuit or over the LED's so they can be seen. I would Rather not put a cover over the LED's if there is an alternative.

Thanks

Rodney

I want to be able to see the LED's in direct sunlight Tahmid At the moment you have to cover them in cuped hands and peer in to see which LED's are on.

MrChips the LCD idea intreges me! Can you direct me to a circuit diagram to start working from.

My old car and bicycle tire inflator failed.
I bought a new tire inflator that has an extremely dim LED display of the tire pressure.
It cannot be seen in daylight and I can't see what I connect it to in no light.

I guess it was designed by idiots or it is defective.

Edit: It was very CHEEP (cluck cluck)!
