Respected Sir,
Which is the most prominantly and widely used technique for soft error mitigation in register files?

And what is a soft error and what are register files?
If you mean that the files in the filing cabinet have become squishy, then I suggest you move the cabinet into some less damp place.

The term "soft error" was applied to DRAM chips and was usually the result of pattern sensitivity. That is when particular patterns were written to adjacent cells you would sometimes but not always get back values different from the ones you wrote. Change the pattern of data written and the problem goes away. I have not heard of this being a problem since the late '70s or early 80's.
