Hi
Looking at purchasing the following isolation transformer. I plan to install it in a box with overload and socket etc.

http://docs-europe.electrocomponents.com/webdocs/002e/0900766b8002ea32.pdf

Looking at the ratings, it is a 500VA. That is 500VA/230VAC= 2.17Amps.
However going across the table of ratings under the Power VDE cos phi -.5 colum it gives a 2000VA rating.

I can't seem to calculate or work out where this 2000VA comes from given a pf of .5. What does it mean in terms of current draw with a pf of .5?

Thanks
