Simple DC Motor Question

Hey,

Ok. I made two circuits using 555's. The first outputs for a second and then stops (monostable). the second is a two stage delay... delays for 2 seconds, then outputs for a second.

What I want to do is connect both of them to a single dc motor in opposite polarity.

Can I just use diodes to accomplish this? I.e., put a diode on each of the positive wires coming from the circuits into the motor?

Thanks

Each of the outputs is about 9v. Can you please explain what is going on in that diagram? Im a total novice. Thank you

If you use an H-bridge driver there is no need to use two batteries (one is enough). If you will use two batteries you can reverse the motor by using only two transistors.

Please post a labeled diagram as to be easy to explain.
