Why don't you explain what you wish to do with a TL783?

Attaching a schematic will be very helpful.

If you are considering building an adjustable power supply with a very wide range of output voltages, you will not likely be very happy with using a TL783 or an equivalent; as power dissipation in the regulator will get very high as the output voltage is lowered.
