Hi,
Kindly guide me with the following:

For an input pulse train of clock period T, the delay produced by an n stage shift register is ___________
I dont know about the delay.

It's asking how long it would take a particular pulse to go from the input and appear at the output of the n-stage shift-register, given a clock period of T.

Do you know how a shift-register works? If so, then the above calculation is quite simple.

Draw the timing diagram for a pulse (or a step) applied to the input of a D-type FF and then produce the output waveform of the DFF's Q output. Now send this into a second DFF and produce the output of that DFF's Q output. This is a 2-stage shift register. Add a third stage if needed, but you should see the pattern by this point.

We don't require good drawings, just drawings that are capable of conveying the information reasonably well.
