I was attempting to replace the glass on my wife's S3 and unfortunately i cut off part of the bottom touch button underneath the glass. Now the LCD won't come on at all. I plan on taking this to a professional tomorrow but does anyone know if I an going to need a new LCD altogether or just the connections for the touch buttons?

You will likely need to replace the screen...

I have had sporadic luck at best, replacing the little silicone and carbon contact strips on such devices, as part of what should be routine cleaning and service.

They are horrendously fragile, as is glass, so don't feel bad about losing it...

I have a technique I have used on glass-based 35mm film-camera electronic parts, that had good success... can you post a picture of the break, there is a slim chance it may be repairable
