I started building a 10000-year clock that never needs setting and doesn't run on batteries.
The problem is I needed a south-facing window which I don't have.
The project is now on hold until I come up with another solution.
Don't you have a chain saw? Make your own south-facing window!

I have an analogue clock which is set by 'radio time', but you have to set the hands to the hour first. If it is about 10:30, you set the hands to 10:00 and then the clock will set correctly. If you set the hands badly at the start, it will be display the wrong time until you do it properly

That's on the top of my Christmas list though it scares the heck out of me. I don't know if I should ask for one that runs on electrons or carbon.
But it wouldn't solve the problem. There is a building blocking my southern view.

For big stuff, you want gas. For little stuff, electric is okay. I have both.

I use an electric Black and Decker Alligator for cutting branches up to 6" in diameter. I use gas power for everything else, or when an extension cord isn't convenient or safe.
