My friend has a Schwinn 820P treadmill. The belt just stopped moving and the display shows E3.
We took it apart and checked for any mechanical seizing and everything seemed good. Even - when you move the belt by hand, the little diagnostic LED on the board lights up a little indicating current in the motor power circuit generated by the motor working in reverse.
Anyway, the motor winding seems ok, isn't open.
The motor makes a little grunting sound if you hook up a AA battery to it, so seems , again, not open.
Probably the motor controller board. Bad power transistor or other power componenets (Rectifiers Capacitors) Maybe even bad speed sensors optocouples or something else like that.
Anyway to get some schematics/ test point documentation for this model?
