It DOES look nice, and it would work very well if I just wanted to build a remotely controlled robot (something that is not heavy).
I also don't want it to be too big because then it would waste a lot of energy just to pull itself (the huge motors, and huge batteries for the motors).
I think the computer and batteries to power the computer will be around 10-20 lb. Does that sound about right ? The first example you gave me, the "Rock Crawler", could probably carry 5 lb ? the wheelchair probably can carry around 200 lb ?
