Can anyone please guide me,where can I find details of makeing very basic robot gripper(pincer).For the material I am thinking to use arclyic persiplex 2mm sheet (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2mm-Clear-ACR...in_3?hash=item53dcde24ca&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14) which can be cut by knife.I tired google but could not find anything.I will be using micro servo motor 1.6kg torque.

See if these pictures help out any.

 

You can try experimenting with two pieces of acrylic with a servo having one piece screwed to it and the other one stationary. But if you need good grip, have the single piece fitted on dual rails and geared in such a way that the two pieces move parallel to each other. Ready to buy devices are also available.
