I am planning to build a long range remote control (1-3km) for FPV plane and diffident projects like RC car, but I am hesitating about the type of the Tx/Rx modules and what is the best for my projects:

1- what kind of modulation is better for my application.
2- what is the appropriate working frequency depending on the range I want.

and if any one knows a specific modules and names please tell me and were can I get.

 

At that kind of range, UHF/VHF may be the way to go, but you may need to acquire an amateur radio liccense to transmit at those frequencies.

Although as BMorse says that kind of range will be hard without a license, license-free bands are power limited.
