The weather station has what they refer to as a super capacitor that has failed over a 6 year lifespan.
As a result of a failed solar charged capacitor, the lithium battery will last approximately one week.
Replacement parts would cost over $100USD
So I made it my own challenge to build a 3.3v 0.35mA power supply to replace the lithium ion battery.
Thoughts on 12v solar charging solution on 3.3v stepdown for a semi permanent solution?
Step down produces 3A
How do get 3A reduced to .35mA (would a 0.35a fuse wired to 3A lead work?)
Does this sound like a decent idea, or a bad idea?
Any advice is good advice.
