can anyone pls give me a replacement transistor for SS8550....this transistor cant handle a higher voltage than 5V ...so i was hoping if i could find a transistor which can handle a higher voltage than this(maybe 9V+)

(The transistor listed in here is the transistor I have)

Just get the same transistor $0.24 plus shipping. Order 10 so you have spares if it happens again.

I've never seen a transistor for 5v max

For radio circuit you should use the same type.

Important is max permitted base current at which 5v never will be reached. The lowest ce breakdown I know is 20 volts for common kinds, reverse breakdown about 12v.

You should specify which voltage you talk about
