Good day everyone. I have this project that uses a 7446 decoder. Unfortunately, all of the stores selling electronic parts here in our place don't have any stocks of it. What alternative decoder can I substitute for this?

Hello,

Do you need the 30 Volts open collector output?

Rich (BB code):
7446 BCD to 7-segment display decoder/driver with 30 v open collector outputs
7447 BCD to 7-segment decoder/driver with 15 v open collector outputs
7448 BCD to 7-segment decoder/driver with Internal Pullups
7449 BCD to 7-segment decoder/driver with open collector outputs
You can also look for the LS types that are more available.

not necessarily. what was required to us was to use a decoder for an anode seven segment display. can i use 7447 instead of 7446?

The CD4511 is very close pinout wise, and the datasheet shows how to use it both ways with external transistor drivers.

Where are you located? I would be happy to send you some if you pay the postage, I have 7 in my stock.
Send me a PM if you like.

sn74246, sn74247, sn74LS248 are functionally identical to their respective 7446,7447, and 74LS48. Texas Insruments has stopped making the sn74246 and sn74247.

If your local suppliers don't have those either, you will need to order them from a supplier online.
