Hello. I am also trying to do a project on regenerative braking using the ciruit that you have given. I wanted to know that did you manaully switched the DPDT for cutting of supply from motor? How can we switch it automatically?

I mean, there are many ways to detect that the car is slowing down besides the driver manually throwing a switch. I would think the brake pedal, how far it is depressed, would be a good guide of badly the driver would like to stop. The other methods would cause deceleration when the driver may want to just coast.
