I have a 24v input signal varying between 1hz and 10hz. The problem I have is I need to reduce this voltage down to about 12v. I can't use a mosfet or transistor as I dont have any other voltages to hand.
Anyone any ideas?

 

How much current can the 24V signal provide?
How much current does whatever the 12V is to feed need?
Is the 24V signal zero to 24V, or 24V RMS or...
And likewise for the 12V output?

I need the output to run a device with a current of approx 500mA . The signal is 0v to 24v square wave
