Hi,

I'm just wondering if someone could help me figure out which steps were taken to determine the attached equation?

I tried multiplying by the denominator on the right
then multiplying out gamma
then taking Zo across

But i've hit a dead end!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Multiplying by the denominator on each side is the right first step.

Next multiply in the gamma on the left.

Next bring terms with ZL to one side and those without ZL to the other side.

Can you figure it out from there?

Figured it out!

For anyone wondering in future:
"Multiplying by the denominator on each side is the right first step.
Next multiply in the gamma on the left.
Next bring terms with ZL to one side and those without ZL to the other side."
Factor out Zl on left and Zo on right
Divide across by brackets on left
multiply numerator and denominator of fraction on right by -1

Thanks again steve! :)
