Which of it is true

Edit
I am not sure how to do this one.

15 ll 10 = 6

10 ll 10 = 5

RL= 11 ? I know this is wrong.

Va = 30 x ( 10 / 10 +5 )= 2

Va' = 30 x ( 10 / 10 +10 )= ?

I am having trouble splitting the RL and Vth

I am totally lost on this one.

P.S sorry for not showing work before .

What do you mean which of it is true? Is there a question that came with the problem? Provide your work first, before you expect us to do it for you.

The circuit doesn't give you enough information to calculate $$R_L$$ and it doesn't want you to either.

You need to convert the circuit to its Thevenin equivalent. Read here for info: http://www.allaboutcircuits.com/vol_1/chpt_10/8.html

What you also need to know is that in order to have maximum power transfer, the $$R_{th}$$ must be equal to $$R_L$$.

I am not sure how to do this one.

Attached is one way ....

After you do the calculations, test each answer till you find which one is true, if any.
