Can anyone suggest me how to improve quick time of start (maybe 30msecs) of my SMPS board?now startup time is roughly around 450msecs and what are all the various methods to measure startup time? i need a brief notes about soft start also.

 

Schematic with part numbers and values would be helpful.

 

You need to appreciate the magnitude of the L/R time constant with respect to the switching frequency.

 

Without a schematic, it is tough for us to provide you with anything but our best guess and well intentioned opinions.

For these type of complicate questions u can not get the solution any where. u can get the solution by Mr. Muthukumaran, the SPMS DESIGNER.

I think the vacuum tubes in the circuit are doing a good job by warming up in a time as short as only 450ms.
