Quick question about the LM2576 5v Switching regulator.

it uses 100microhenry inductor. it its not something made up of thick copper wires, it will burn.

if u r not sure how to build these, buying something readymade is the best thing u can do.

If the device works at all, it will probably serve your purpose perfectly. It is exactly what you need, ready made. I have recently experienced faulty modules from amazon, so I would order with caution; read the reviews. Are people calling it a dud? Its only a few bucks so not really a big gamble. I would purchase it and try it out.

I've found the perfect solution! Apparently the prefabbed USB chip doesn't accept 6v, or 5, So I'll use an XRP6272 with a bypass-able 1N4004 diode so it can use alkaline or NiMH. Is there anything wrong with this? Or should I go ahead and order it?
By the way, there are no reviews on the prefabbed chip, and there is a $2 restocking fee if returned...
