I know i do post a lot of questions recently

Anyway, I know that capacitors in parallel will combine capacitance to discharge a bigger current - but is it the same for voltage?

Say I charge 2 100uF capacitors @ 9v - will the discharge be 200uF @ 18v or 9v?

Basically, do the voltages combine also?

 

If connected in parallel you get the same voltage but higher capacity,
if connected in series the voltage adds but at half (assuming equal values) capacity.

eg. 2 x 1000uF at 10V in parallel = 2000uF 10V, in series = 500uF 20V.
