Question about VMWare / Virtualbox

hi sir and ma'am what is better virtualization software for you vmware or virtualbox?

i am confused regarding this method.. if i install windows 7 or 8 in VMware
can i install software inside that OS for example Java, VB, Arduino IDE etc...?

I've used both. I like Virtual Box better, but both are good programs.

Yes, you can install any software you could normally install on the particular OS you are using for the virtual PC. The only possible limitation you might run into concerning software is the virtual machines use a basic "hardware" configuration, which may not meet the requirements of a particular program, but I never ran into that.

The virtual PC will behave just like an actual, physical computer - it will be assigned an IP address by your router (if you are on a LAN) and you would set it up just like you would an actual, physical computer.
 
both are great , virtualbox is inexpensive while vmware you need to pay for its full services.

virtual machines is just like another computer except it is running on virtual hardware
and to install software inside you need space, allocate well before post installation
and how are you planning to access the installation software from inside the virtual machine ...
