this is your circuit Ok

now calculate I ( total current)
Ra=(6*2)/(6+2)=1.5 Ω ; Rb=(2*2)/(2+2)=1 Ω ; Re=Ra+Rb=2.5 Ω
I=9/2.5=3.6 A

by divider rule
i1=(2/(6+2))*3.6 = 0.9 A
now
V1=i1*6= 0.9*6=5.4 v
V2= 9-V1 = 9-5.4 = 3.6 v
i3=3.6*2=1.8 A

now apply KCL
i1=i3+i0
i0=i1-i3=0.9-1.8=-0.9A
that is mean, direction of i0 must be in opposite direction only but its value 0.9 A

you can also sure from this answer by apply mesh method

thank you but i thing there is some thing wrong about this

i think we use Kirchhoff because the lesson talking about it
