Hi guys,
I have just recently purchased a used Quingo Vitess 2 mobility scooter for myself, and would like to know if it's possible access the menu on the LCD display without the aid of a programmer? I am familiar with these types of LCD displays but this one doesn't have the usual user menu where you can enable/disable any of the parameters.

The issue I have is this scooter has "Day Running Lights" and to be able to conserve battery power, I'd like to turn this feature off. Apparently when these scooters are delivered from new, the engineer changes things like: Temp C/F, Miles/Kilometres etc...
Is this done directly in the menu control panel or via a programmer??
If it's done via a programmer, what type do i need, and where can I get one that doesn't cost a kings ransom??

Thanks for any advice.
Best regards,
Doug

You will need to get the programming instructions because it is the computer driving the display that needs to be addressed . My observation about a few of those mobility scooters is that each one is different by a fair amount. So you need to get the information from the manufacturer.

Thanks for your reply, really appreciate it. I did get in touch with Quingo in the UK and they are not prepared to give me any information. If I need anything changed I would need to book a service call for one of their engineers to change the settings. Of course I will be expected to pay around £100 for the changes. I was kind of hoping there would be a simple "hold these 3 buttons down for 30 secs" type of thing and up pops the menu settings. I guess I'm not going to be that lucky then?
Best regards,
Doug

Thanks for your idea. Unfortunately I'm not physically able to do that kind of work these days. But it's certainly something I could look into getting done.
