I am planning to design a test jig, Which will give square wave PWM output with the options for changing both frequency and duty cycle(I have to provide a mode switch for selection). By using the up/down keys the user can set particular frequency or duty cycle.
Depends on the user setting i have to display the frequency&duty cycle in the lampex (16X2 Character) LCD.
Frequency range - 1Hz to 5KHz
Duty cycle range - 0% to 100%
Load current range - Max 3A at 12V magnitude.
I am planning to use a PIC micro controller, Can any one suggest me a suitable controller for this logic. Is there any reference design for this application.
