Hi All,

I am designing a PWM inverter in Orcad PSPICE where i am comparing a sine wave and a triangular wave to generate MOSFET triggering pulses !This is not working well for two reasons.
1.The amplitude, fre of sine and triangular waves MIGHT not be correct.
2.The components i have chosen, like opamps,ABM models myt as well be not functioning correct.

Can some1 help me with the complete PWM inveter Pspice schematic?

Thank You:)

Nah..I just need to know the little basics here..like which type of PWM is best suited for UPS application.Do we Rectify the sine wave before comparing it with triangular wave? What should be the amplitude of Sine wave. What should be the frequency and the magnitude of the triangular wave?Which op-amp do i use for the comparison?

Thanks :)

Desired signal levels in a circuit are determined by the overall circuit. Without posting a schematic of what you are working with, I seriously doubt that you will get much help.

It's my understanding that mosfet's are most efficient being gated with square wave pulses. They spend less time in the linear(heat generating) region that way.

Also most PWM circuits are square wave based. Why use sine and triangle wave?
