I would like to know what exactly are the grounds,it seems there are two types,

If i remember correctly, the 3 prong pitchfork looking ones are "earth grounds"
and the other is a standard "common ground" tho i think for alot of schematics use them as equals.

But im just another learner around here, maybe wait for a real response from a pro before grabbing a 3 prong plug =)
