Hey guys,
I have been given this circuit for homework. The task is to try and figure out what the circuit is used for. I have attached the circuit.

Thanks

Have you decoded the outputs of the two AND gates?

I don't know about most of the other folks here, but saying that you are in your first year of a level tells me absolutely nothing.

If you haven't been taught what an AND gate is and how to figure out its output, then how are you supposed to figure out what this circuit does? Or is that part of the assignment. to figure that out?

What about the other items in the schematic? Which of those do you understand?

That is part of the task, to figure out what it does. I don't know really where to start on workings out. I do understand what an AND gate does. We have just been given this circuit to figure out what it does.

Assume the counter block is a binary counter with the R input resetting all the outputs to zero, and go from there. Make sure you state these assumptions when you hand in your work.

The teacher doesn't know how to teach or is just to lazy to teach.
So the teacher expects the students to come here to learn.
