Good Day Everyone,

Please kindly help if anyone here has designed a Pulse width modulation circuitry that includes dead time control. It will be used to actually provide square wave signal to half bridge IGBT Circuitry. Please kindly reply, thanks everyone

Thanks, but is there a possible circuitry that can allow me to get a dead time of 1.5 - 2us? Or any IC Chip, currently i am using IR2111, but it is inefficient as no dead time is provided?

Hi,
Which controller are you using to generate the pulses? That controller should have option for generating deadtime, eg. SG3525 can be programmed to provide deadtime by using a resistor between pins 5(CT) and 7(RD). Or you could use a driver with programmable deadtime selection, eg IR21844/IR21834 can be programmed to provide deadtime between 0.4 to 5us. IR2183/IR2184 have internally set fixed 500ns deadtime providing circuitry.

Hope this helps.
Tahmid.
