Hi all, I've been working on an electronics project that I would like a custom enclosure for. I've looked at 3D printing which is fairly expensive. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with 3D printing, or machining, or making your own mold and casting your own resins etc etc... I'm shooting for something in a black ABS type plastic. Suggestions? Do you have a printer or a milling machine and want something to do with it? lol. My ears are open to your suggestions.
Here are some CAD renders. It's roughly 10.5cm x 2.6cm x 7cm

Thanks!

We use 3D printers a lot where I work to prototype electronic boxes - they work pretty well.

I know that some hacker spaces have 3D printers - the membership is a bit steep for my blood here in Denver though ($250ish a month).

I've build cases like that in the past using maple or birch pieces for the bottom and sides. For the face panel I have used a flat piece of black plastic or brushed aluminum that is folded around the front, top and back. Looks sleek to me.
