I am wiring my interior light so that when i unlock the car the sidelights follow the interior light in that they come on and then fade away.

Can I just connect from the delay relay in the interior light to the sidelights with a diode inbetween to stop the reverse happening?

What will happen in I switch the sidelights on at the same time? Would It cause a problemo?

Are there any other problems I should be aware of?
