Hello everyone,
A little bit back (been waiting for the new rules since then) I built a plasma speaker (with a lot of help from the people over at all about circuits) and did a science fair project on it, in which I varied the ultrasonic base frequency and measured the maximum distance at which it would arc, I wanted to do further testing involving the duty cycle and create a carpet plot but ran out if time.

Heres a youtube video of it in operation

(subscribers would be nice, just sayin)

It wouldn't let me attach the word doc and excel doc, so I went ahead and attached the project writeup, the three blank pages being where the excel data goes.

Thoughts?

We didn't actually enter them in a science fair, my teacher just had us do science fair projects for the third quarter project.
for what it's worth, the project got a perfect score, except for the half a point off for not citing procedure, which he corrected when I explained to him that this had never been done before. :D

@debe, if it didn't have an icecube directly on it, it would blow... really fast
guess thats what happens when you're running extreme signals through it.
