I have been asked by my tutor to make project of electronics of my own choice..
So i want little favour from all of you..
I am interested in making a project related to microcontroller and computer interfacing..
I also want to tell that I am given this task in my ANALOG CIRCUIT LAB SESSION...

Please tell me the names of some projects related to which are helpful,so that I search them through net..
Also keep in mind that I am in 3rd semester of electrical engineering...

it is 8051 as it is cheap....
my university is not finanancing..I have to use my own money!!!

 

Is the University providing the programming software and the programming tools?

yeah we have learnt C!!!!and universiity is providing compiler...

Since your project needs to contain an analog element then what about a temperature monitoring unit. This will require an analog-to-digital converter to convert the analog temperature measurement to a digital value which can then be read by the 8051 and the calculated value can then be sent by 8051's UART to a PC running hyperterminal.
