programming problems

    hi all can any one tell me of a good working pic programmer
    i am having problems with picpgm programmer i have loaded the hex file and the program has found the chip but every time i program the chip it says verfy errors accured and has not programmed the chip
    i have tried different programs but none seem to work

    i'm trying to program 12f629 and 16f819 chips with a jdm programmer

    I have used Blueroomelectronics Inchworm (ICD2 emulator) and PicStart Plus (direct from Microchip). Both worked well. If you are using socketed chips, the PicStart Plus is easier. With both devices, you need a real RS232 port; although, just yesterday, I got them to work with a serial-to-USB cable (QVS or store brand made by QVS that used the Prolific chip set). Neither device worked with the serial port included on an ASUS P5QC motherboard.

    I programmed the 12F5xx and 12F6xx seies.
