Hi All

Just wondering could anyone point me in the right direction to work out how to demonstrate how the circuit could be converted into a balanced modulator, ie extend the circuit to remove the carrier V1 from the output signal to produce double-sideband suppressed carrier amplitude modulation.

I have been told that a gilbert cell might be the corect way to do it but not sure. Any help is greatly appricaited.

What you have drawn up is an incomplete differential amplifier. You need a magician to make it into a balanced modulator.
