The x[n] is apssed in recrussive loopp called y[n]=y[N-1]+x[n]
1)i dont know what the term 'M' means.
2)In the image what represents that its is 440hx wave

M is the number of elements in a table. In this case the table has 100 elements. To create a sine wave you pick the elements out of a table and send those values to a DAC or equivalent circuit. Wash rinse repeat.
