Hello, currently i am doing project using solar cell(5V,180mA) to charge hand-phone battery, but what i found is the solar cell becomes a load once i connect to hand-phone, and current from battery discharge very fast. i already connect a diode inside the circuit, but it looks no use, so anybody know why such thing happen.

 

Not clear what your situation, or question is. Could you clarify? This might result in useful responses.

 

Show a schematic of how the cells are connected to the load with the diode.
