Well great news! I replaced the 10uf 50v capacitor and I now have power to the 5v led lights! That fixed my problem. Thanks so much for you guys help! I deeply appreciate everyone's advice.
Glad you got it working. You likely would have come to that conclusion by using traditional troubleshooting techniques. You start at a point where through circuit is malfunctioning and work back. Or you start at a point that's working correctly and work your way forward until you locate a problem (there could be more than one).
You could also start by probing around any suspicious components.
