HI,
I tried to setup a circuit which is basically an IR Transciver module which directly connects to the RS232 Level port without any IC.(Please refer the attached Circuit). The problem is its possible to receive the data. But can't able transmit. I tried the same ciruit, twice, but results the same issue. Please help me , to trace out the issue.

You need a 40Khz modulator on the IR transmitter.....

 

Can you clarify what the pins on the 9 pin connector are? Which one is transmit, receive, power, ground, etc...? That would definitely help anyone trying to trace this out with you.
