I have some questions. Is building primary switched switch mode power supplies in conflict with the TOS? Some clarifying around this matter is needed I think. For me it is much the same, allowed or not. It is no problem at all to find arguments against it.
Now and then we also see question about mains light dimmers. Not very often although. But this is something that I have great concern about. They may be fun to build no doubt. But not build correctly the list of hazards and danger is quite long. And strictly speaking, you will not be allowed to connect such device home-brew device to the mains. As they are not in any way approved So in this case I would like to see a ban for such devices.
