Got a bunch of old/defunct test equipment for free!
(2) Tektronix 2445B 200MHZ Oscilloscopes
V.A.PHI Volt, Amp, & Power Factor Meter
Sencore TF151A Transistor & FET tester
Small CRT unit from a (???)
Sencore "substitutor" Decade resistor/ capacitor
HP 5384A Frequency Counter
HP8647A 250KHz-1000KHz Signal Generator
Hameg HM8130 Programmable Function Generator
Simpson 260 VOM (not shown)

All of them with calibration stickers went out of cal in the late 90's, everything else said "UNCALIBRATED INSTRUMENT - DO NOT USE FOR ACCEPTANCE TESTING" or "FOR PARTS ONLY"

Only thing I tried so far is the o-scopes. on one, the fan comes on but nothing ever comes up on the CRT. on the other, fan comes on, CRT comes up gradually after about a minute, but the trace doesn't trace when I probe something.

I guess this will be my new project once I get all my TVs up and running. So basically, my 2012 project(s).

 

Guess we can guess what a lot of your questions are going to be centered on in the future. Good luck with getting them running, some potential nice equipment there.

The Bama site is great - but they didn't have your Tek 2445b service manual; just the operators' manual (which you do need)

I suggest that you start off by replacing ALL of the old electrolytic caps (because they'll all need replacement sooner or later; most likely sooner) but that's up to you.

 

Me is envious!! That's some nice gear there. Even if you can't get it running, there'll be some useful scrounge bits. Fire up the iron, slap on some eye protection, and you're all set!
