power supplies

I have had a 20 amp power supply burn up. I have 2 10 amp supplies. I know this is basic, do I hook them in sreies or parrallel to get the 20 amp capacity

Hello,

For 20 Amp. you should put them parallel.
There is one problem. The powersupplies may not be the same.
You should put power scottky diodes in serie with each powersupply.
It can happen that the current is not the same for the powersupplies, so the one must deliver more than the other.
The powersupply that delivers most will suffer this.

When you put powersupplies in series you must add (or subtract) the voltages.
The current will stay max 10 A.
