# Power Signal Confusion

hi guy,

I am studying Electroni Signal and System.. i am quite confuse about how to the powe signal formula actually apply.. i have attachment an example which i require someone to help me explain or give me another good example to help me on this... a big THANKS...

The N + 1 term in the numerator comes from Sum(1$^{2}$, n = 0, n = N).
Now 1$^{2}$ = 1, and the summation is 1 + 1 + 1 + ... + 1, or (N + 1) terms that are all 1, so the value of the summation is N + 1. If that's confusing, pick a value for N and see what you get.

It's the basic counting from zero thing. 1-10 has 10 counts, but 0-10 has 11.
