My question is:

A load absorbs 2kW of power with a power factor of 0.9 (lagging). Find the reactive power of this load and state whether the load is inductive or capacitive. Is anyone able to help me with this example.

I know reactive power = I.V.(0.9)

How do I find I and V? Please help me. Thanks

lagging PF means inductive load.
KVA*pf = KW
hence,
KVA=KW/pf

KW is active power given by I.V.(0.9) in Kilowatts
KVA is total or apparent power in KiloVoltAmpere
Reactive power is KVA^2 -KW^2.
