hello, ive done a bunch of searching with no luck. can some one please post a schematic for a portable car battery booster/jumper? this is just an example of what schematic im looking for:

As far as I know, I thought they were just a big battery with a built in charger in a carrying case, but I could be mistaken.

 

Some of these things may contain a high current buck/boost SMPS, to control the current flow and also to make available more of the spare battery capacity.

Edit: On second thoughts if the unit actually offers cranking current as in the OP's link it probably is just a battery - the currents involved are so horribly big.

Not an ideal home project in my opinion, too much opportunity for expensive or hazardous mistakes.

 

They are only a sealed battery & builtin jumperleads & a crude led battery level indicator. Chargers are usualy a wall wart.
