I'm verifying to be more assure about something that's Im afraid and confused at it so appreciated if anyone can suggest / advice me for my issue.
I have what's called grandmaster switchgear, its main functionality is to work as synchronizer which sends a synchronized clocked via its configured port as mutlicast to another device which on the second device the port is configured as unicast.
So my confusion is ..will it work properly or not? because on grandmaster the port is configured as multicast and on the second end(second device) the port is configured as unicast ..so I connected between two ports via cable ..
So will it work properly since connected two port with each other which each one has different protocol(one is multicast and second is unicast) ?
Will the communication between two ports be supported and all fine?
