Hi!
Here is my circuit:

Rich (BB code):

I guessed that pnp works in direct active mode. I got that Ib=0.01mA, Ic=0.95mA, Ie=0.96mA, Vbc=4.28V>0 so my guess is correct. I simulated circuit in Multisim but I got different results. What's wrong? Did I make mistake somewhere in calculations?

The last two images are too small to see the detail. Insert them as .gif or other graphics format directly into you post, using the insert Attachments (paper clip) icon in the Go Advanced window. JPEG is for pictures and makes fuzzy drawing renditions.

Now everything looks good. You Sim BJT has slightly larger current gain and Vbe also will be different. And this is why sim show slightly different result than your hand calculations.
